Stored script injection via missing nonce validation
Published Apr 9, 2025 · Updated May 12, 2026
CSRF in Ashok Basnet Nepali Date Utilities 1.0.15 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject stored scripts via forged requests. A settings-update function lacks correct WordPress nonce validation, so it accepts attacker-controlled script content submitted with an administrator's session. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to open a malicious link or page, after which the stored script executes for later visitors.
