Authenticated code execution via unsafe ZIP extraction
Published Apr 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Code injection in termel PDF 2 Post 2.4.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through a ZIP upload. The front-end upload handler accepts a ZIP containing PHP, extracts it into the public WordPress uploads directory, and leaves the resulting file executable over HTTP. Subscriber-level access and a valid nonce are sufficient, enabling execution in the web server's WordPress context without further user interaction.
