Authenticated data exposure via unsafe database deserialization
Published Apr 4, 2025 · Updated Apr 4, 2025
Deserialization in ELADMIN 2.7 allows remote authenticated users to expose data through the /api/database/testConnect endpoint. DatabaseController binds the JSON body directly to a Database object and passes its attacker-controlled connection fields to testConnection without a separate input model. The endpoint requires database:testConnect permission; published evidence limits the impact to confidentiality loss but does not identify the exposed data.
