CVE-2025-32449

Local privilege escalation via unquoted search path

Published Nov 11, 2025 · Updated Nov 11, 2025

Unquoted search path in Intel SoC Thermal IPF Extension Provider before 03.03.1002 allows local users to escalate privileges. The PRI Driver launches a Ring 3 user application through an unquoted search path, allowing Windows to resolve an unintended executable from a parent path. Exploitation requires low local privileges, active user interaction, high complexity, and additional attack conditions, and can compromise the vulnerable system's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
