CVE-2025-32445Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Host compromise via unrestricted pod template merging

Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Privilege escalation in Argo Project Argo Events before 1.9.6 allows remote authenticated users to gain host and cluster access. EventSource and Sensor pod builders merge the entire user-controlled spec.template.container into orchestrated containers, accepting commands, privileged security contexts, and host-root mounts. Permission to create or modify either custom resource is sufficient to bypass tenant isolation and RBAC boundaries, read other tenants' data, and compromise the host.
