CVE-2025-32431Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Middleware bypass via unnormalized traversal paths

Published Apr 21, 2025 · Updated Apr 21, 2025

Path traversal in Traefik Proxy before 2.11.24, before 3.3.6, and 3.4.0-rc1 allows remote attackers to bypass middleware. The HTTP entry point passes unnormalized /../ path sequences into Path, PathPrefix, or PathRegex router matching, so a different router handles the request without the intended middleware chain. Exposure requires path-based routers protecting different backend paths; successful requests can read or modify backend resources without those middleware controls.
