Victim-session JavaScript execution via unescaped template parameters
Published Aug 5, 2025 · Updated Aug 6, 2025
Reflected XSS in XWiki Platform allows remote attackers to run JavaScript in a victim's session through crafted template URLs. The extension.vm and job_status_json.vm templates insert parameter-derived values into HTML without XML escaping. A victim must visit the attacker-controlled URL; the script then performs actions with the victim's permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
