Unauthenticated SQL injection via unchecked sort parameter
Published Jul 24, 2025 · Updated Jul 25, 2025
SQL injection in XWiki Platform 9.4-rc-1 through 16.10.5 and 17.0.0-rc-1 through 17.2.2 allows remote attackers to alter database queries. The getdeleteddocuments.vm template inserts the sort request parameter unchanged into an HQL ORDER BY clause. Any network client reaching the LiveData REST endpoint can read or write database data or interrupt service without an account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
