Heap-based buffer overflow in RT-Labs P-Net 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash IO devices with a malicious RPC packet. The RPC packet parser writes beyond a heap buffer while processing an IRInfoBlock, although the precise missing bounds check is not public. Network access to a device embedding the stack is sufficient; the published impact is a crash without reported data disclosure or modification.
