Phishing popups via unsandboxed iframe content
Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
UI redress in the Iframe dashlet in EspoCRM before 9.0.5 allows remote attackers to launch deceptive popups via a user-set URL. The dashlet renders arbitrary remote content in an iframe without a sandbox attribute, letting that content open windows outside the frame and message its parent. Exploitation requires a user to configure an attacker-supplied URL; the documented consequence is phishing, and parent-frame messages are unused.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
