Authenticated dangerous-file upload via missing type validation
Published Jun 14, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Ninja Team Filester 1.8.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to place dangerous files on the server. The file-manager upload path accepts files without validating their type, allowing server-executable content to pass its upload controls. Administrator privileges are normally required, but sites that extend file-manager access to lower roles also expose those users; code execution depends on server handling.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
