CVE-2025-3223

Arbitrary file overwrite via unescaped upload paths

Published May 19, 2025 · Updated May 20, 2025

Path traversal in GE Vernova WorkstationST V07.10.10C and earlier allows remote authenticated users to overwrite arbitrary server files. The EGD Configuration Server does not escape paths supplied through its upload field, allowing traversal sequences to escape the intended directory. When combined with the server's unauthenticated upload function, the flaw permits unauthenticated overwrites outside that directory and threatens equipment operational integrity.
