Stored script execution via decoded discussion descriptions
Published Apr 4, 2025 · Updated Apr 4, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Perfex CRM 3.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript when another user views a project discussion. The Project Discussions endpoint decodes HTML entities in the description field and renders the stored value as raw HTML without filtering executable markup. A client account and project access are required; viewing the crafted discussion executes code in the viewer's Perfex CRM browser context.
