CVE-2025-32077Network attack vector

Cross-site scripting via unescaped calendar inputs

Published Apr 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 11, 2025

Cross-site scripting in Wikimedia Foundation SimpleCalendar 1.39 through 1.43 allows remote attackers to execute script via calendar markup. Setup.php inserts localized system-message text and an invalid title parameter into generated calendar HTML without context-appropriate escaping. Exploitation requires the ability to save parser-function markup or alter a system message; rendered script runs in the browser context of anyone viewing the affected calendar page.
