RH850 code execution via oversized INC transfer
Published Feb 15, 2026 · Updated Feb 15, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Bosch Infotainment system ECU 283C30861E allows attackers to execute code on the RH850 module. processNetBroadcastInternal copies data from an oversized INC transfer request into a 0x20-byte stack buffer without enforcing that bound. Exploitation requires code execution on the Linux infotainment SoC and enables arbitrary CAN message IDs and content on the connected IDT and MPDT buses.
