Authenticated database access via unsanitized return ID
Published Apr 4, 2025 · Updated Apr 4, 2025
SQL injection in CodeAstro Car Rental System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data through the ID parameter. The returncar.php handler passes the submitted ID value directly into SQL queries without validation, enabling boolean-, error-, time-, and UNION-based injection. A customer session is required to reach the rental-return workflow, and resulting access is bounded by the application's MySQL account privileges.
