CVE-2025-32035Network attack vector

Executable upload via extension-only file validation

Published Apr 8, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2025

Insufficient type validation in DNN Platform before 9.13.2 allows remote authenticated users to upload executable content with an allowed extension. The FileManager upload path checks the filename extension but does not inspect the stream for the MZ executable signature, so a renamed executable is accepted as an image. Low-privileged upload access and user interaction are required, and code execution requires a separate vulnerability that invokes the stored file.
