Internal resource access via unvalidated LNURL callbacks
Published Apr 6, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2025
SSRF in LNbits 0.12.12 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to access internal resources via LNURL callbacks. The LNURL authentication handler passes a user-supplied callback URL to httpx with redirect following enabled, without rejecting internal destinations. Any account that can create a wallet can supply the callback and read returned content from services reachable only by the server.
