Local privilege escalation via Boolean array indexing
Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Improper input validation in Intel SGX SDK Edger8r allows local users to escalate privileges through Boolean array indexing. The Edger8r tool permits Boolean values to index enclave arrays instead of requiring the integer type that Intel prescribes for array indexes. Exploitation requires a highly privileged local user and additional conditions; Intel has not disclosed the gained privilege level or affected data.
