Availability loss via externally bound administrative services
Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026
Improper service binding in HCL BigFix IVR 4.2 allows remote authenticated users with high privileges to interrupt service availability. Internal service components bind administrative services to external network interfaces rather than the local authentication interface, exposing privileged operations beyond their intended listener. High-privilege access and network reachability are required; published sources do not identify whether the resulting interruption is a hang, crash, or shutdown.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
