CVE-2025-31946

Local crash via crafted DICOM import

Published May 8, 2025 · Updated May 9, 2025

Use-after-free in Pixmeo OsiriX MD 14.0.1 and earlier allows local users to crash the system by importing a crafted DICOM file. The exact affected parser, freed object, and invalid memory operation have not been publicly disclosed beyond the DICOM import path. A local user must import the file into the macOS workstation; exploitation corrupts memory and can interrupt diagnostic-imaging operations, with no reported data disclosure or modification.
