CVE-2025-3194Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Application crash via unchecked native buffer conversion

Published Apr 4, 2025 · Updated Jul 18, 2026

Buffer overflow in bigint-buffer 1.1.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash applications via invalid toBigIntLE input. The Node.js wrapper sends the supplied value to the native toBigInt converter, which asserts that napi_get_buffer_info succeeds instead of rejecting a non-Buffer value. Unauthenticated reachability depends on a consuming application passing attacker-controlled values to this library function; the demonstrated result is process termination.
