Contributor-level DOM-based script execution
Published Apr 1, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
DOM-based cross-site scripting in WP Plugin Info Card 5.3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a visitor's browser. The public CNA record and Patchstack advisory do not identify the affected DOM source, sink, or the untrusted input handled without neutralization. Contributor-level access initiates the attack, and successful exploitation requires a privileged user to interact with crafted content; execution is confined to that visitor's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
