CVE-2025-31779Network attack vector

Unauthorized administrative actions via missing nonce validation

Published Apr 1, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Cross-site request forgery in Query Wrangler 1.5.54 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger unauthorized administrative actions. Affected administrative routes process state-changing requests without validating a WordPress nonce, allowing a forged request to execute with the visiting administrator’s session. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to visit attacker-controlled content; published sources do not identify the specific administrative action.
