Administrator stored XSS via admin settings templates
Published Apr 1, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Preliot Cache control by Cacholong 5.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in visitors' browsers. The admin settings templates fail to neutralize stored data before page generation, but public sources do not identify the affected field or sink. Administrator privileges are required to plant the payload, and a separate user must load the affected settings view for script execution.
