Stored XSS via undisclosed input handling
Published Apr 1, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in DobsonDev Shortcodes 2.1.12 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into site content. Patchstack does not disclose the vulnerable shortcode, parameter, or code path, beyond identifying improper neutralization during page generation. A contributor-level account is required to store the payload, and a visitor must load the affected page; the script then runs in that visitor's browser.
