CVE-2025-31726Network attack vector

API-key disclosure via plaintext job configuration

Published Apr 2, 2025 · Updated Apr 3, 2025

Cleartext storage in Jenkins Project Stack Hammer Plugin 1.0.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read Stack Hammer API keys. The plugin serializes the API-key field directly into each Jenkins job config.xml file rather than using Jenkins secret encryption. Item/Extended Read permission exposes the value remotely, while controller filesystem access exposes it locally; the reported consequence is API-key disclosure.
