Remote modem crash via improper input validation
Published Oct 11, 2025 · Updated Oct 11, 2025
Improper input validation in Unisoc modem chipsets on Android 13 through 16 allows remote attackers to crash the system. Unisoc identifies the modem as the affected technology area but has not disclosed the input field, parser, or validation error that triggers the crash. Network reachability and no authentication or user interaction are required; successful exploitation interrupts modem service through a system crash.
