CVE-2025-31680Network attack vector

Container state changes via unprotected management routes

Published Mar 31, 2025 · Updated Apr 29, 2025

CSRF in Matomo Analytics before 1.24.0 allows remote attackers to enable or disable Tag Manager containers via crafted requests. The Tag Manager submodule's enable and disable routes accept state-changing requests without requiring Drupal's route-level CSRF token validation. Exploitation requires the submodule to be enabled, knowledge of a container's machine name, and an authenticated site user to submit the request; the resulting impact is limited to that container's enabled state.
