Router crash via oversized getuid parameter
Published Apr 3, 2025 · Updated Apr 3, 2025
Denial of service in the AC23 16.03.07.52 API interface allows remote attackers to crash the router via a crafted request. The /goform/VerAPIMant handler accepts a one-billion-byte getuid value in a POST request and processes it until CPU exhaustion leaves the device unresponsive. Network reachability to the management interface is required, and successful exploitation interrupts routing service without reported data disclosure or modification.
