CVE-2025-31650Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service interruption via leaked failed-request memory

Published Apr 28, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Improper cleanup in affected Apache Tomcat releases allows remote attackers to interrupt service through invalid HTTP priority headers. Http2Parser.readPriorityUpdateFrame and Stream.emitHeader let an invalid priority value raise an exception that prevents complete failed-request cleanup and leaks memory. Unauthenticated access to an HTTP/2 connector is required; repeated malformed priority fields consume heap until an OutOfMemoryException interrupts Tomcat.
