Administrator access via trusted IsAdminApprover parameter
Published Jul 22, 2025 · Updated Aug 18, 2025
Privilege escalation in AlertEnterprise Guardian 4.1.14.2.2.1 allows remote attackers to gain administrator access through an API request. The Request Building Access requestSubmit API trusts the client-supplied IsAdminApprover parameter and assigns administrator privileges without enforcing the intended approval boundary. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants administrative control over the Guardian application.
