Unauthenticated approval bypass via trusted request flag
Published Jul 22, 2025 · Updated Aug 18, 2025
Authentication bypass in AlertEnterprise Guardian 4.1.14.2.2.1 allows remote attackers to submit building-access requests without manager approval. The Request Building Access requestSubmit API trusts the client-controlled isAddedByApprover field as proof that an approver added the request. No authentication or user interaction is required, and a forged value creates an unapproved physical-access request rather than directly granting door access.
