CVE-2025-31493Network attack vector

File access and PHP execution via collection traversal

Published May 13, 2025 · Updated May 13, 2025

Path traversal in Kirby before 3.9.8.3, 3.10.1.2, or 4.7.1 allows remote attackers to access server files via dynamic collection names. The collection helper resolves an untrusted name without confining the resulting path to the configured collections root, then loads the resolved file. Exploitation requires site code to pass request-influenced names; successful traversal can disclose readable data or run reachable PHP code.
