CVE-2025-31492Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated content disclosure via declined content handler

Published Apr 6, 2025 · Updated Apr 17, 2025

Information disclosure in OpenIDC mod_auth_openidc before 2.4.16.11 allows remote attackers to read protected content via HTTP requests. When POST-bound authentication returns its self-submitting form, check_userid returns OK, but oidc_content_handler misses that request state and returns DECLINED, causing httpd to append the protected resource. Exposure requires OIDCProviderAuthRequestMethod POST, Require valid-user, and no application-level gateway that hides the extra response content.
