Arbitrary file read in Vite's dev server allows remote attackers to read files through crafted SVG or relative-path requests. The transform pipeline checked server.fs.deny before normalizing request IDs and treated crafted query suffixes as SVG assets, allowing denied paths to reach file loading. Exploitation requires network exposure through --host or server.host; the SVG path applies to Vite 6.0 and later and files below assetsInlineLimit.
