Unauthenticated PHP object injection via unsafe deserialization
Published May 23, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
PHP object injection in AncoraThemes Umberto 1.2.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject PHP objects through untrusted serialized input. Public advisories do not identify the affected function or parameter; the theme deserializes attacker-controlled data without restricting object creation. Exploitation is unauthenticated, but file deletion, sensitive-data access, or code execution requires a usable POP chain supplied by another installed plugin or theme.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
