Authenticated database query manipulation via category ID
Published Apr 3, 2025 · Updated Apr 6, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Online Medicine Ordering System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to manipulate database queries. The manage_category.php category-management route passes the ID parameter into a database query without neutralizing SQL syntax, as demonstrated by an injected SELECT SLEEP expression. Low-privileged authenticated access is required; the public proof of concept demonstrates a controllable database response delay but not broader data access.
