Database read and modification via injectable ID parameter
Published Apr 3, 2025 · Updated Apr 6, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Online Medicine Ordering System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries via the ID parameter. The view_category.php endpoint places the attacker-controlled ID value into an SQL statement without neutralizing SQL syntax, as shown by a time-delay SLEEP payload. A valid application session is required; the published record does not identify which tables or records become accessible.
