Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted executable upload
Published Apr 24, 2025 · Updated Aug 4, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in SAP NetWeaver Visual Composer VCFRAMEWORK 7.50 allows remote attackers to execute code without authentication. The Metadata Uploader endpoint accepts executable binaries without an authorization check and places them in web-executable server paths. Network access to that endpoint is sufficient; uploaded JSP web shells execute with the SAP service account and can compromise the host.
