Deleted call history disclosure through stale Spotlight indexing
Published May 12, 2025 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Information disclosure in Apple iOS and iPadOS before 18.5 allows attackers to view deleted-app call history in Spotlight. The Call History component leaves sensitive records available to Spotlight after the associated app is deleted instead of removing the indexed data. Exposure requires access capable of running a Spotlight search on an affected device, and the disclosed content is limited to residual call history.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
