Database query manipulation via unsanitized course ID
Published Apr 2, 2025 · Updated Apr 6, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Online Tutor Portal 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries through a crafted id parameter. The /tutor/courses/view_course.php handler passes the id value to an SQL query without neutralizing special elements, and the published payload demonstrates time-delayed query execution. A tutor session is required to reach the endpoint; the demonstrated consequence is attacker-controlled SQL evaluation and a measurable database response delay.
