Browser data access via unneutralized configuration paths
Published Jun 10, 2025 · Updated Jun 10, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Schneider Electric Modicon M262 before 5.3.9.18 allows remote authenticated users to alter browser data. The embedded web interface renders attacker-controlled configuration file path data without neutralizing it for the browser. Exploitation requires controller credentials and a victim to view the affected page; the resulting browser-context code can read or modify that victim's data.
