Unauthenticated account takeover via trusted username parameter
Published Mar 31, 2025 · Updated Mar 31, 2025
Authentication bypass in Scratch-Coding-Hut 1.0-beta3 and earlier allows remote attackers to access any account through a crafted login link. The account page trusts the username query parameter in the login-link URL as the account identity without verifying control of that username. No prior account privileges are required; exploitation depends on reaching a crafted link containing the target username, and successful use grants that account's access.
