CVE-2025-31117Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated internal network access via DICOM URL import

Published Mar 31, 2025 · Updated Mar 31, 2025

SSRF in the DICOM Viewer in OpenEMR before 7.0.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to access internal resources through URL import. The Viewer accepts an arbitrary URL and makes a server-side DNS or HTTP request without restricting the destination. A valid login and access to Misc > Dicom Viewer are required; responses are blind, but callbacks enable data exfiltration and internal port scanning.
