Stored XSS via forged privileged requests
Published Apr 9, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Austin Passy's Comment Validation Reloaded 0.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to store XSS payloads. Public records do not identify the vulnerable handler or parameter, but establish that it accepts a forged request and persists attacker-supplied script content. Successful exploitation requires a privileged user to act on an attacker-controlled request, after which the stored script executes for later viewers.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
