Authenticated code execution via unsafe template inclusion
Published Jun 6, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Local file inclusion in External Store for Shopify 1.5.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP files. The shortcode handler uses a contributor-controlled premium template attribute to select a PHP file without filename sanitization or a strict allowlist. Contributor-level access is required, and code execution depends on placing an includable PHP payload in a server-accessible file.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=1.5.9 changes=[{"at":"1.6.0","status":"unaffected"}]
