Unauthenticated file alteration via path traversal
Published Apr 1, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Path traversal in Bit Apps Bit Assist 1.5.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter files outside the intended directory. The product fails to neutralize doubled triple-dot-slash sequences before constructing a restricted pathname, allowing the resolved path to escape its directory. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient; the published assessment limits the reported consequence to file integrity.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
