CVE-2025-3082Network attack vector

Unauthorized data access via overridden view collation

Published Apr 1, 2025 · Updated Apr 1, 2025

Improper access control in affected MongoDB Server releases allows remote authenticated users to read unintended underlying data through a view. The view-query path accepts a caller-supplied collation instead of preserving the view's intended collation, changing which backing data the view exposes. Exploitation requires authorization to access the targeted view and provides unintended reads without reported write or service-interruption impact.
