Unauthorized actions via missing nonce validation
Published Mar 27, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Javier Revilla ValidateCertify Free 1.6.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger unauthorized actions. A request-handling function accepts state-changing requests without valid nonce verification; public records do not identify the function or action. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to visit a crafted page or click a malicious link, and the consequence is limited to actions permitted by that session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=1.6.1 changes=[{"at":"1.6.2","status":"unaffected"}]

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
